Magnify Zoom for Zoo doesn't work
I'm new to this forum and please apologize my broken english.
I'm using Joomla 3.8.5 and Zoo Blog. On Sunday I bought Magnify Zoom for Zoo to use it in the Blog.
After installing the Add on and assigning the element to the App it is not working correctly. No lens is shown.
What I have done
Js on/off (but it doesn't help)
The error is shown
Can you please help me?
Thanks for writing us.
It seems there is a conflict with 3rd party extension or with the template.
Please try to perform the following actions:
1. Assign default template like Crypsis to make sure the issue is not caused by current template.
2. Make a list of 3rd party extensions (modules and plugins) installed on your site except the ZOO CCK.
Try to disable each of such plugin / module and check out the front-end each time.
It might be cookies policy, social buttons or even additional administration plugin or even menu module.
3. Make sure ZOO template (it is Warp6) is compatible with Joomla template.
What version of PHP, Joomla and ZOO are used?
and thank you for your answer.
The problem doesn' seem to be easy, but anyway I'll try.
You've asked for versions of PHP, Joomla and Zoo.
Joomla is 3.8.5
PHP is 7.1.7
Zoo is 3.3.26
Zoom for Zoo is 1.1.0
I hope that helps finding a solution, because lately I don't want to change my template.
Currently I have not much time to do all the things you suggested. So it will take a time to react. Please appologize.
Thanks in advance
Of course, replacing the template is not welcomed way, but we need to determine the reason why this issue happens.
By the way, the Magnify Zoom element wasn't tested with PHP 7.1. Could you, please, try to switch PHP to version 7.0 to make sure the issue isn't caused due to the latest PHP version?
and thank you for your answer and your efforts.
I found out a way to get the element to work. With the help of a little Plugin called "jQuery Easy" (you can get it here: https://simplifyyourweb.com/downloads/jquery-easy/file/58-jquery-easy ) the elemet works and I have to change nothing.
From some points of view it may be not the smartest solution, but it works for me and thats great.
Meanwhile I tested the element with PHP 7.2.1 and it also works.
So thank you for the fine collaboration.
It is great to hear you found a solution and thank you for sharing this information here.
Have a nice day!
