if I add facebook comment (from JFBconnect)

NorrCompetition has option to integrate FB comments as a core feature and no 3rd party extension is needed for that. How did you add FB comments from JFBConnect in NorrCompetition?

As concerning jquery conflict with another extension - we need temporary access to your site to reproduce this issue and we need a proper URL where the problem occurs.

Hello ddangerfield,
All modifications must be implemented in the files placed in your Joomla template as layout override.

You should not modify /components/com_competition/competition.php - this is mistake. Need to restore to the default.

Please read this article in documentation: Template Overriding
You should add any implementation of 3rd party extension (like JFBconnect) using overrides.

As concerning the language issue - the problem occurs because of lightbox initialization.
Please open this file /administrator/components/com_competition/helpers/extension.php then find line 389 and replace it at:

tError: '<a href=\"%url%\">" . htmlspecialchars(JText::_('COM_COMPETITION_MODAL_IMG'), ENT_QUOTES) . "</a> " . htmlspecialchars(JText::_('COM_COMPETITION_MODAL_IMG_ERROR'), ENT_QUOTES) . "'

It should help. Please let us know about the result.

As concerning the jquery conflict - is it still exist? On which page we can reproduce it?

Re: Looks lkike a Jquery confict

Thanks for the great support

French language is working now

JFBconnect is working fine now without conflict

I am trying to place it after content , so according to your doc , i should use onContentAfterDisplay
But I am a total php newbie and have to idea about the syntax

At the moment I use echo '{JFBCComments key=1234}'; so how do I place the comment a the bottom of the competition instead of the top ?

Thanks

Hello ddangerfield,

You're welcome! :)
Sure, we are here to help you to solve any questions.
Can you, please, specify pages on which JFBConnect code must be implemented?
- competitions
- participant page
- categories
etc...
In core realization of the component we display comments at participants pages only, but you can implement your code using events anywhere, of course.

Also I'd ask you to provide JFBConnect code snippet that must be placed in 3rd party extension to implement it on your side.

Thank you.

Thanks for the great support
I use : echo '{JFBCComments key=1234}';
It's actually in the index.php of the template and work perfectly except for the placement

I would like to show it in the compétiton and participants page , as it does actuaally but at the bottom as in your
onContentAfterDisplay example

Thanks

<?php
/**
*

* @package T3 Framework for Joomla!
*
*/

// no direct access
defined('_JEXEC') or die;

//check if t3 plugin is existed
if (!defined('T3')) {
if (JError::$legacy) {
JError::setErrorHandling(E_ERROR, 'die');
JError::raiseError(500, JText::_('T3_MISSING_T3_PLUGIN'));
exit;
} else {
throw new Exception(JText::_('T3_MISSING_T3_PLUGIN'), 500);
}
}

$t3app = T3::getApp($this);

// get configured layout
$layout = $t3app->getLayout();

$t3app->loadLayout($layout);
echo '{JFBCComments key=1234}';
