I have a problem.
On one of my competitions, users found a way to vote several times per second with the same pc.
Is that I can change the voting frequency of 1 vote every 15 seconds? how can I do?
You can set the period in minutes. Look in Competition options for Custom Vote Frequency.
It is not possible. The minimum is 1 minute. For normal user it is OK to vote every minute minimum. When we have implemented this feature we did not think about seconds, like allowing to vote every 15 seconds
How to shorten this period?
You have a log of votes, you can ban them by IP, for example. You can use 3rd party extensions, like "Saxum IP Logger" for that. Or use .htaccess to ban IPs or zones of IPs.
And is what I can banish some voters?
I can advice to turn on Google Recaptcha.
Because I have voters who use autoclics and I want to be able to exclude them.
Our component supports only Google reCAPTCHA v2. You can enable it in Participant options. Do not forget to setup and enable reCAPTCHA plugin.
Regarding seconds - I will look how to provide a custom solution for you.
I need more info about your current Voting Options. Can you make a screen of them?
Interesting. Users found a way to vote several times per second with the same PC - does it mean that they change their IP? I see that you have protection by IP enabled, but it does not help?
You can get our help: Monday - Friday / 09:00 to 17:00 (GMT+2). but not limited. Our staff will be pleased to provide Premium support to every paid subscriber asap, but sometimes you should be ready to wait for our reply for up to 3 days. In case of free extensions we do the best to develop and maintain them either, but their support is not necessary.
