Hi,

PHP Warning: get_headers(): This function may only be used against URLs

It looks like there is a server side misconfiguration and you should set allow_url_fopen setting to On in your php.ini file.

allow_url_fopen = On; (the php doc : allow_url_fopen )

The php.ini file can be edited via hosting panel or via the FTP.

Also, I would recommend you to have a look at NorrCompetition technical requirements and enable all necessary PHP settings.

Since the issue is the same, it seems your changes took no action.
Now let's check out this theory.
Go to Site Administration > System > System Information > PHP information tab and find allow_url_fopen line.

What are Local and Master Values on your site?

Can you have a look at entries in error file? (not server side error.log, but Joomla error file).
It is located here: /administrator/logs/com_competition.log
Perhaps the problem is not in allow_url_fopen.

If you want, you can send credentials to us (site back-end, FTP) for further investigation.
