#1 LAYOUT

Since quite a long time I find it weird to display the start/end dates of votes between start/end dates of contests.

I believe the contest dates should be listed first then the vote dates...

#2 ADDING A SUBMISSION PERIOD SETTING

What I would like to see coming asap (not to write today - hahaha -) is the possibility to start the votes after a submission period.

We would have data/settings like:

  • Contest start date (contest display date)
  • Start of submission date
  • End of submission / modification date
  • Vote start date
  • Vote end date
  • Contest end date (Grand Prix winner)

I also wonder about the time settings for competions like this info "That's why we should always set website's timezone according to the region where are making our contests for." and if you have a international competition you still need to set up an exact region date timezone.

I wonder what is the best to do if you have a "worldwide" competition ?

You should keep follow the rule - set the website's timezone according to the main region of your contests.

It is always some kind of balance between the timezones. So if you are in UTC +0 and the contest end time is 12:00, then you should keep in mind that for a user in Australia this contest will be closed at 22:00 (UTC +10) and for user in North America at 04:00 (UTC -8).
